One time a year Barilla selects the best, from its point of view, short films about kitchen and cuisine.
It is the so-called “Academia Barilla Film Awards”, the prize that was created for the popularization of the Italian cuisine, Italian restaurant culture, regional food products and traditions. It is being hold for many years.
This year, the best films are: “La Variante Sultano”, a documentary by Vincenzo Cascone of Ragusa, that told a story of the Sicilian Chef Ciccio Sultano; “Frittata” about Italian dish of the same name; “Comporre in cucina e architettura” that describes composition in the kitchen and architecture and “Musica da cucina” - a melody of knives, whisks, ladles, pots and pans.
