In August, 2008, the Coca-Cola Company launched in France the limited edition glasses designed by Vibrandt Form (pic.).
According to Vibrandt Form designer Tom Gilbert, they were created on the base of the iconic Coca-Cola bottle and elements of the brand’s advertising – such as butterflies, for example.
They were produced by Arc, the French company, which was a Coca-Cola’s partner in many projects. So, France became the first market to introduce the product while other European countries would be engaged in 2009.
This project was the only one among the number of events that should underline the importance of recycling and steps the Coca-Cola Company has done in this direction. This time about 45% of a Coca-Cola glass bottle is made from recycled glass. Also, the brand increases the part of light PET-bottles which were launched in the end of 2007.
This is a realization of the global agreement
"Courtauld Commitment". It was signed in June, 2005, by many world brands and devoted to the absolute reductions in packaging waste.
