In China there is a tradition to gather in crowds in the beginning of May to test the adroitness by climbing up to big bamboo constructions decorated by small buns. It is so called the “Cheung Chau Bun Festival”.

To participate in you should eat only vegetarian food during three days before competitions and the winner should gather the biggest number of buns while climbing.

After a number of years the form of these bamboo constructions became more and more important. So even a big decorated with buns Coca-Cola bottle became a winner of the special competition that was held in China before the 2008 Olympic Games.

The winner design (pic.) created by Iris Luk Tsz-yan and Kelvin Kung Tin-wing was presented at the special exhibition along with 33 other bottles.

Details of traditional Chinese constructions could be seen here.
