Gap uses old jeans to produce fiber insulation.
It is a result of the brand’s collaboration with the “Cotton Incorporated” company in the frame of the
“Cotton. From Blue To Green” social project.
It works simple:
Gap’s fans bring their old jeans to the American Gap stores and get a 30% off for any new denim purchases from Gap, GapKids or babyGap, while “Cotton Incorporated” converts these jeans into UltraTouch Natural Cotton Fiber Insulation (pic.) to donate to communities in need.
UltraTouch is a Class-A building product and meets the highest standards for fire and smoke ratings, fungi resistance and corrosiveness. It contains 85% post-industrial recycled natural fibers making it an ideal choice for anyone looking to use a high quality sustainable building material.
