To mark its 100th anniversary, General Motors decided not only to remember its corporative past, but also to think or dream about its corporative future.

For such thoughts in January, 2008 the brand launched its special site – GM Next (pic.).

It was born from the corporative GM’s blog - FastLane that till this moment exists for several years.

The new content contains videos about next-generation vehicles and technologies, including applications of the E-Flex drive system and work on GM’s line of Plug-In and Two-Mode hybrids, stories about the company’s green strategy and different tales about all aspects of cars.

In February General Motors enriched its GM Next launching the historical part of this resource.

This part uses a Wiki-technology, so everybody who likes GM’s cars could write a piece of the company or may be brand history from his/her own point of view. For example, it could be a story about people who work in General Motors or photos of your first car.

The result looks so. But for General Motors it wasn’t enough.

In May 21st, 2008 General Motors decided that it could be funny if Carl-Peter Forster, the GM Europe President, would write something about GM from time to time. And he did so in the special presidential blog at drivingconversations.gmblogs.com .

General Motors promises this will not be the manufactured content of PR people.
