Honda began research of a walking assist device in 1999 with a goal to provide more people with the joy of mobility. In 2008 the device has entered into the feasibility stage. Some of these technologies are used in Honda’s humanoid robot, ASIMO.

This device exists in three sizes such as small, medium and large and weights about 2, 8 kg (medium size). It works from a lithium ion battery about 2 hours (when operated at 4,5 km/hour walking) and, may be, could help not only elderly people, but also somebody that wants to stay in a bed instead of going to her/his lovely office.
