Denim, threads, buttons and the logo. In gathered state all these turns to a pair of jeans. In sorted out state it could be a piece of contemporary art and a demonstration of components of the legend. At least, the legend of the 501 Levi’s.
Namely, these jeans were taken to pieces by Stefan Sagmeister, a famous designer. He destroyed them and composed again, in its own style. The result is demonstrated at American Rag stores in Los Angeles and San Francisco along with limited-edition poster reproductions to be sold.
“The jeans themselves are iconic, so we decided to go with just a product shot, using nothing more and nothing less than a single pair of 501s," – that was an explanation of the idea from the Stefan Sagmeister’s Studio.
