In the end of March one the most famous Broadway musical - “Hair” - has returned to Broadway.
It is a story about the 1960s, the time of the hippie culture, music and jeans. That was a reason that Levi’s brand became a partner of the performance and opened its archives to “Hair” costume designer Michael McDonald.
With the help of Levi’s jeans McDonald re-created the style of the 1960s, using such models as Levi's Original 501 straight leg jeans (featured in a wash appropriately named "Acid Trip"); the 527 Low Rise Boot Fit; vintage, Reissued Bell Bottoms; 511 Skinny Jeans and Capital E Hesher Boot jeans.
“After extensive research of period details, I knew Levi’s was the perfect fit for my costume designs in “Hair”, capturing the essence of the era with stylish accuracy”, - said Michael McDonald.
It should be marked that “Hair” has opened a lot of stars, including Diane Keaton, Donna Summer and others.
