The documentary film “Super Size Me” (2004), which main hero Morgan Spurlock was eating only McDonald’s food during 30 days and made his weight much bigger, could be set under the question.

In June, 2008 Chris Coleson from Richmond, USA, disproved the incontestability of such situation. He (pic.) lost 86 pounds (about 40 kg) eating only McDonald’s products during six months.

His ration consisted of salads, wraps and apple dippers without the caramel sauce and sometimes cheeseburgers without the bun.

This episode caused a lot of discussions in blogs and media, so that McDonald’s should comment the situation. The brand emphasized it was not a brand’s PR action but stressed it knew a lot of such stories:

"There have been numerous success stories like this one, where consumers elected to follow a responsible diet with adequate exercise and incorporated McDonald's food in a very positive way", - said McDonald's USA spokeswoman Danya Proud. "We continue to work on helping people understand how to strike the right balance between diet and physical activity."
