Yet in October, 2007 McDonald’s has informed that it planned to increase its coffee range by premium products.
The instrument of this brand’s initiative is special coffee bars – so called McCafes. The brand is testing this conception in several states of the USA now while the nationwide launch is scheduled for the first part of 2009.
However it can be, in Japan McDonald’s already launched the premium product. This is a special bakery for coffee - a McBakery line - that includes chocolate and sugar croissans and melon rolls.
The product is advertised by funny roll-headed people that try to talk with passers-by in Tokyo. Also, the “special” TV channel (McBakery TV) was launched.
