McDonald’s and Nintendo on June, 19th, will launch a new partnership for McDonald’s restaurants in Japan.

source: mcdonalds.co.jp/ds

It is a so-called “McDonald’s DS” program based on the following:

When a visitor with a Nintendo DS console comes to McDonald’s, he or she enters a McDonald’s Wi-Fi zone that allows users to access DSiWare, play online, download special demos and interact with an exclusive content (characters from popular games, including the "Pokemon" series, information about new McDonald's services, products and discount coupons).

For Nintendo, the partnership is a further step in expanding its service. For McDonald’s, it is a possibility to get a new experience in e-marketing and to hold consumers inside its restaurants for more time.
