Nike created shoes with Carmelo Anthony, the NBA star.

The model was called “Jordan Melo M5” (pic.). It is unveiled under Jordan brand, a part of Nike.

It is known that number “5” in these shoes’ name has two meanings. Firstly, these shoes are Anthony’s fifth with the brand. Secondly, the Jordan Melo M5’s design complements all five positions on the basketball court.

“In designing the Jordan Melo M5, I wanted to create a shoe that spoke to Carmelo’s ability to play anywhere, but that was also a symbol of his personal growth,” - said D’Wayne Edwards, the Jordan Brand footwear design director, who has designed all five of Anthony’s signature shoes.
