Nike unveiled Nike KD1 (pic.).

This is the first signature shoe that brand made for Kevin Durant, but not the last. The proof is a number “1” in the name of this product.

As a rule, all “personal” shoes always have storytelling details that describe life, achievements or preferences of the person whom these shoes are devoted to. This case is not an exclusion:

A postage stamp inspired design on the left tongue reminds that Durant’s mother worked at the post office. A security badge on the right tongue is for his father who worked as a security officer. Also, symbols on the left outsole represent locations meaningful to Durant and so on.

“My goal was to introduce a shoe that performs well, looks great and showcases my roots”, - Kevin Durant said.
