On the 1st of December, when everything was going red for the World AIDS Day, the brand announced its partnership with Join RED project, which brings together brands, celebrities and ordinary people to help those affected by HIV in Africa through several Global Fund’s programs.

Nike will also support these programs with RED.

The brand created special “RED” products which profits will 100% go to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and football-based community initiatives that deliver education around HIV/AIDS prevention.

The first of these products are Nike “RED” laces with a tagline “Lace Up. Save Lives” (pic.). They are designed for football boots but, according to Nike, it is only the one more reason to follow Didier Drogba and Joe Cole from “Chelsea”, Andrei Arshavin from “Arsenal”, Marco Materazzi from “Inter Milan” and others to wear them.

Other products will be also introduced soon.
