Beiersdorf company, the owner of Nivea brand, has won in China the trademark dispute against the Dongyang Yingzi Cosmetics and its Oumeina brand.

It is reported that the Beijing Second Intermediate People’s Court ceased infringement and indemnified 120 000 yuan in damages to Beiersdorf and Nivea. It is about 18 000 dollars.

It should be marked that according to the first half of 2009 financial report Beiersdorf and Nivea demostrated encouraging sales growth (16,1%) in China and in June Beiersdorf opened a new Nivea plant in China to produce products for Asian countries.
