In April, 2008, Starbucks decided that rich brown color was more suitable for the famous coffee brand that, for instance, the green previous one.
These thoughts at once find their realization at the first page of
starbucks.com.
Somebody could explain these steps with some nostalgia and returning to Starbucks roots. Or somebody could say that Starbucks simply needs some changes.
However that may be, Starbucks wants something old – the brand is testing its new logo that has already presented in the family album of Starbucks mermaids (pic.).
The only change is that “Coffe-Tea-Spices” inscription was replaced by “Fresh Roasted Coffee”. Also, two mermaid’s tails that became more and more abstract during Starbucks history could be seen again.
This new-old logo will be tested by Starbucks and Starbucks consumers during eight weeks before the final decision.
