In March 19th, 2008 Starbucks Coffee Company has presented to its shareholders some innovative customer-facing initiatives.

One of them was a so-called “site of ideas”, an online box to gather ideas from consumers and employees that was placed at MyStarbucksIdea.force.com.

Every user of this site could offer his/her own ideas or imagination about changes that Starbucks needs. These could be advises as for new products, music, propositions or questions about the brand’s social responsibility, opinions or offers for new Starbucks coffee-houses or even about atmosphere that should be there.

The next step of this coffee democracy is a consumers’ voting. Offers that obtained maximum of votes Starbucks plans to “take into account”.
