In March, 2008 the Rubicon Consulting conducted a detailed survey of 460 randomly-selected iPhone users in the United States.

agency: Rubicon Consulting

Researches found that iPhone users were high satisfacted with the product (pic.). The number of such consumers is equal to 80%.

Also, iPhone users are quite young. About a half of iPhone users are under age 30 and about 15% of iPhone owners are students. Besides, at least 75% of US iPhone users are previous Apple customers with iPods or Macintosh computers.

40% of being surveyed said that would add new software applications to their iPhones and 40% of respondents informed the iPhone had trouble displaying some websites they wanted to visit.

E-mail became the number 1 non-voice function (it means reading but not writing e-mails). About 72% of users surveyed do it on their iPhone at least once a day. Also, 50% of iPhone owners use them to read e-books.

About 50% of iPhones replaced conventional mobile phones, 40% replaced smartphones, and 10% replaced nothing. In average, one in five iPhones was received as a gift.
