It is based on nominations made by an independent group of CEOs achieved by Sir William Castell, Wellcome Trust, and is devoted to mark CEOs which do amazing jobs for their brands and companies.

This year the title of “Business Leader of the Year” was granted to Graham Mackay, CEO of SABMiller. Under his leadership, SABMiller developed locally-relevant brands and enlarged its presence on emerging markets.

“Innovator of the Year” was won by Mario Moretti Polegato, the founder of Geox, who developed a fashionable brand with new technology.

As for “Business Leader of the Future”, this title was awarded to Angela Ahrendts, CEO of Burberry. Under her leadership the Burberry’s retail revenue growth in Europe and Asia was in double digits and led the company into the FTSE 100. It is the first British fashion company to do so.

Also, Burberry is the one of not so many luxury brands which pay a big attention to social media. The brand created a social site “the Art of the Trench” for those who love a world, full of Burberry checkered patterns.

The full list of winners could be seen here.
