The result is Wi-Fi. It was indicated as the most important airport amenity by 47% of being surveyed. It’s more than other basic travels needs such as, for example, food (just nearly 30% opinions).
As for the biggest complaints, they are connected with PC batteries that die without possibility to recharge immediately. They were mentioned by a combined 67,7% of frequent travelers. They are very important because almost no one travels without technology:
According to Hewlett-Packard and American Airlines, more than 90% of frequent travelers surveyed have a notebook and phone in hand. If Wi-Fi were enabled onboard, 70,5% would choose their notebook as their primary device for conducting business-related work, and 19,8% would use mobile phones (with telephony turned off).
The survey was conducted via e-mail by American Airlines Customer Research among 1 582 respondents who have taken more than 20 trips domestically or internationally during the past 12 months (February, 2009).
