Retrevo , an electronics shopping site, looked careful at iPhone and BlackBerry users.

It was found that to describe iPhone and Blackberry users one can easily reflow the name of the famous John Gray book “Men are from Mars. Women are from Venus”. This will sound like “BlackBerry users are from Mars. iPhone users are from Venus” because 59% of respondents who use BlackBerries were men while 53% of the respondents who use iPhones were women (pic.).

Also, iPhone users said when deciding about a person is he/she attractive or not, they found persons with “cool gadgets” three times more attractive then others with a college degree. This fact has so important meaning that 34% of iPhone owners and 29% of BlackBerry owners think old gadgets could turn off a potential partner.

According to Retrevo, iPhone owners more often text or email someone to break up relations (33%), more often write SMSs (50%) than Blackberry users (46%) and are more extrovert (61%).

November, 2009

The Retrevo survey was conducted via the consumer electronics shopping site Retrevo.com among 445 iPhone and BlackBerry owners distributed across gender, age, income and location in the United States. The responses have a confidence interval of 4% at a 95% confidence level.
