Sunsilk and the site AskMen.com conducted the common online survey “Blonde vs. Brunette” among more then 4 000 men age 18-34.

They found that more men (59%) had one night stands with brunettes then with blondes (41%). 65% of respondents believed that they preferred to have a romantic dinner with a brunette than with a blonde and 63% thought in this case they would obtain a high ROI.

As for wedding, brunettes also got much more sympathy. 75% of men plan to marry a brunette and about 80% prefer a brunette to meet with their mothers.

Researches also cleared some stereotypes that were linked with a hair color. For example, blondes were thought to spend their lives as party (48% vs. 9%). Men were sure then blondes are air-head (63% vs. 2%) and gold-diggers (51% vs. 5%). Correspondingly, brunettes were described as intelligent girls (58% vs. 3%), serious (64% vs. 4%) persons and such ones that had good sense of humor (32% vs. 15%).

As for men’ fantasies in the “Blonde vs. Brunette” survey, Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Simpson tied for the blonde fantasy with 31% each. Christina Aguilera came in third with 11%. Angelina Jolie best represented the brunette fantasy at 30%, followed by Carmen Electra at 27% and Vanessa Minnillo at 18%.
