For example, when given the chance to make a new appliance purchase, men and women chose different appliances. Men say they want replace the refrigerator (26% of respondents aged 35-44), while women say they need a new dishwasher (24% of respondents).
Even if they agree to each other as for the most needed appliances, they would choose them in a different way.
According to Whirlpool, men are more informed about cost-effective and ecologically friendly things. 71% of males aged 35-44 know what high efficiency (HE) means in terms of laundry appliances while only 54% of females have the same knowledge.
The brand also found the one thing men and women can agree on - energy efficiency. Both sexes think it is very important with regard to appliance efficiency (83 % of males and 85% of females).
